Whether your goal is to complete
your degree or expand your skills through continuing
education, Madison University's
programs
can assist you.

Admission to Madison University is open to all persons meeting the
qualification and admission requirements of the University.
The abilities of prospective students are evaluated by review of the
individual’s application for admission, which includes a detailed resume, transcripts of academic credit, listing of any
specialized training programs, company sponsored workshops,
completion of military or other specialized schooling and other
relevant documentation of previously completed academic work.
Evaluation of the application package is one of the key components for
acceptance with the University. The evaluation is intended to
determine whether the applicant has the appropriate educational
background, occupational
accomplishments, motivation, and self-discipline to succeed in a
non-traditional learning environment.
The University has established certain prerequisites that must be
met before admission is granted. These requirements pertain to
academic standards and other stipulations with which students must
comply. Program Coordinators and Academic Advisors will assist
students with these requirements. However, the student is
ultimately responsible for fulfilling course requirements. It is the
student’s responsibility to schedule needed courses, establish
prerequisites where necessary, and plan in advance to ensure that
all requirements are met. Madison University does not discriminate on the basis of race,
gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality or ethnic origin.
Admission programs are administered in compliance with policies
established by the Board of Directors

The Open Enrollment Program allows students to
begin their studies at any time during the year. This method of
enrollment is utilized to avoid the stringent guidelines imposed by
classroom attendance during the traditional academic year.
Graduation may also take place at any time during the year pursuant
to completion of all academic and financial obligations.
Although degree programs have specific completion requirements, you
have the flexibility to work at your own pace and complete course
work on an individualized basis. You may extend your degree
term with the University's Extension Program or accelerate your completion based on
the level of commitment your schedule permits.

For admission to an undergraduate program, an applicant must have a
high school diploma, GED, or its equivalent. In addition,
applicants are required to have a minimum of four (4) years of full-time occupational experience, preferable in their selected
degree-related field. Undergraduate applicants are required to complete a PLA
(prior learning assessment) application with a portfolio
addressing general education and program specific objectives.

For admission to a graduate program, an applicant must have a
bachelor degree from a state licensed or appropriately accredited college or university.
In addition, applicants are required to have a minimum of four (4)
years of full-time occupational experience, preferable in their
selected degree-related field.

Madison University's distance education programs do not require
on-campus residency or formal classroom attendance. Degree
programs have been designed to be completed under an Academic
Advisor’s guidance and supervision in an environment conducive for
learning.
All academic requirements, including examinations, research and
writing projects, may be completed through independent study from a
distance. Madison University offers distance education
to students from all corners of the world, providing a solution for
students who may otherwise be restricted by geographical location.
